Almudena Pardo, DVM & PhD, is the founder of Albiotech, a small company conveniently situated in Madrid capital, dedicated to providing high-quality scientific written materials for biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
As Albiotech´s founder and main medical writer, my emphasis is on providing client-focused, timely and highly specialized materials.
A veterinarian by training, in 1996 I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and obtained a PhD in microbiology from Columbia University, where I later worked as a postdoctoral molecular virologist.
I began medical writing under the supervision of Dr. Hamish Young, C.S.H., including several and participation in a number of seminars at Columbia and MIT and .
In Spain, I have continued to develop my expertise in the field as Marketing Analyst at Sanofi Pasteur-MSD, where I gained an insight into the Pharmaceutical Industry. I had the opportunity to work with observational studies and actively participated in the design and implementation of a number of market research initiatives. As part of my functions, I translated key documentation for the Medical and Marketing departments.
In 2006, I began to work as a Medical Writer at Dynamic Solutions, CRO, where I wrote protocols and CRDs, manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, monographs, abstracts, posters, etc.
In 2007, I founded Albiotech S.L. to serve the biotech and pharma industries.
I am a member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and the Mediterranean Editors and Translators (MET), which provide continued and access to key industry networks.
